Store your logs off the ground on pallets etc to allow air to fully circulate, a purpose built log store or open fronted barn/shed is ideal.

Our high quality partially seasoned hardwood firewood in our opinion only requires further drying once stored as stated above for a further few months to achieve a long lasting burn with high heat output.

For those that like to season our ‘green’ wood themselves all the above advice needs to be undertaken which will result in excellent firewood at a great price. You should not burn wood until it has a moisture content of around 20%.

For optimum burning and ever lower moisture content bring cut and split logs indoors a couple of days before use to help with the drying.

Standing thinning’s/clear fell broadleaf/softwood always required, we will work with the Forestry Commission to obtain all relevant licences for your woodlands. Or we can provide our equipment and experienced drivers, loggers to assist with your own logging, woodland thinning etc if you already have felling licences in place.
